100 Years Matisse, Yo – Die Geschichte der Installation
08.12.2011 | Apartment Häusler Marszewski, Berlin
Happening together with Natalie Häusler
In my Post Braunschweig Years there was a lot of talking, thinking and discussions—mainly about views on Art&Society. One afternoon, together with my roommate Natalie we decided to get rid of all furniture from our rooms (not much that time) in order to host our Event.
The idea was a Wiederauferlebung of the well know Painting Matisse, The red studio, 1911 which we have originally seen in the Museum of Modern Art, New York. To us the painting transported a vivid unpretentious life, exactly how we imagined living. As we both were in romance with the term installation we recreate the expressive spirit of this painting in our own home and invited a wider public and friends.
